Drawing The Characters

I don't know where these pictures originally came from, I just found them in a newsgroup a few months ago. I have changed them because they had black lines and obviosly they wouldn't have worked on my page. You can't print out the pictures on this page because they have white lines, but I have made printable copies with black lines and no colour so they are printable, click on the words "Printable Copy" next to the title of the character to open this image.

How To Draw Bart-Printable Copy

Barts head is in the shape of a tin can. It has 9 points of hair on top. Theres a very slight flair on top as you can see in figure-3. Barts ears are constructed like a "C" and a curved "T". His hands are identicle to Lisa's. The circular label on Barts shoes only appears on the inside as shown in figure-3. Barts torso is just a smaller version of Homers and his feet are in the shape of an iron.

How To Draw Homer-Printable Copy

First think of the top of Homers head as a circle and his hair as two croquet hoops. Homers nose curves up slightly, but the eyes are just two cirles, the second hidden by the nose. Homers mouth is constructed like two coconut halves. His lip is slightly fatter than the rest of the Simpson family. Homers "M" rests on the side of his head. Homers collar is just below the chin line. Think of the front of the collar as an "M". Homers torso is like Barts exept that it is much bigger. The rest of Homers body is just a circle with two legs attached. Don't forget to draw the cuffs of his pants.

How To Draw Marge-Printable Copy

Marge has Lisa's head but with different hair. The eyes should take up about one third of the facial area. Marges ears are constructed like a "C" and a curved "T" just like everyone else's. Pretent that Marge's hair has two bowling balls in it. When drawing Marge's body, remember that she has no shoulders. The suggested shoulders are right around the area of the necklace.

How To Draw Lisa-Printable Copy

Lisa'shead is bassically like Maggies exept that her hair is less stuby. Lisa's ear's are constructed like everyone else's. If you have trouble drawing the eyes put plus signs in place of them, this will help you draw better circles. Lisa has four eyelashes, make sure thry curve. Lisa has 8 points of hair like Maggie. If you have trouble drawing them try putting dots where the points meet and joining them up. Lisa's arms come out about where the necklace is. the necklace has 5 visible beads on it. Lisa's dress has 7 spikes on it. The dress should extend over about two fifths of her body.

How To Draw Maggie-Printable Copy

The hardest point of drawing Maggie is the hair. there are 8 points of hair constructed in 3 groups. If you have difficulty drawing the hair try putting dots where the points meet and joining them up. The bottom of Maggies pacifier should line up with the bottom of her hair. The pacifier is constructed like an "O" and a sideways "U". Although you can't tell in this drawing, Maggies eyelashes curl up just like Lisa's and Marge's. When drawing Maggies body start with a circle and a semi circle. The semi circle should be on the bottom. Last but not least, Maggies eyes are a third the length of her face. If you have trouble drawing circles draw pluses in place of the eyes.
