HomePage Introduction Map

1. Your details

All the usual boring administrative stuff.

2. Your home mooring details

This is to fit a boat of a specific length into a mooring that can accomodate it. The important measurement here is the maximum mooring length available since, the longer it is, the greater the number of possible matches there will be.

Measure the overall length of your boat, including fenders, otherwise you may not fit into an exchange mooring!

We need to know where your mooring is situated according to the divisions on the map. Look carefully at the midponts of the navigations (for instance the River Trent is divided at Torksey between areas N2 and E1) and ensure that your home mooring is in the correct designated area.

3. Where you want to swap your mooring for

The areas have been chosen to offer cruising for a summer season. Select a primary area and mark it on the form. You also have the facility of making an alternative choice should the first one not be successful. You can also select generic areas, North, East etc.

4. Licensing details

It is important that marinas and moorings should know that what is heading their way is both safe and insured. The other owners’ details will be on the letter that we send you when we have an exchange to offer you.

5. Agreement and Payment Authorisation

This authorises us to deduct the matching fee from your credit card, and it emphasises the limits of our responsibilities to you. It also indicates that you agree to data being stored on a computer.

Be assured that FMC will delete your credit card information once a match has been found and you have been informed.

FMC is reistered with the Data Protection Registrar under the conditions of the Data Protection Act (1984)
