This film is a treat for any Romero fans who've missed it up till now.
When an army plane carrying a cargo of bacteria crashes near a small town spreading it through the water supply, the locals are soon found to be going raving mad. The army move in with force to try and quarantine the area but find the people turned into murderers by the bacteria. Panic takes hold as a serum is desperately searched for to reverse the damage, but it may already be too late as the exposed area gets wider and wider.
What an unexpected treat this film is, Romero excels himself yet again with a gripping story of a fight for survival of a small group of people, on one side of them they have the mad infected townsfolk, and on the other the military trying to keep control. A very intelligent and well made film with a brilliant ironic ending. Get it now.
