It has to be said, the picture quality of this release is not the best, but on comparison it is far better that the video version I have. Seemingly this is on a par with the Japanese Laserdisc release which is the best release available so I can't complain too much. As a package it's not great with no extras regarding the film, only trailers of other releases by the "Red Edition" label. This is the English language release with Japanese subtitles embedded on the screen which cant be removed. This version was quickly recalled because of a row over the rights and re-released as a German language version, so I was lucky to get it. The "Red Edition "label is German and so all the trailers are dubbed in that language.
