Schramm

Ever fancied the chance to see into the mind of
a sexually depraved serial killer? if the answer is no then stay
well away from this brutal film the makers of
"Nekromantic" and other sicko movies.
Buttgreits direction has been described by some
as over indulgent but it could also be called erratic, whichever
it is his talent for directing this type of major league violence
cannot be denied. The film is a kind of movie jigsaw puzzle which
uses repeating sections throughout which confuse the viewer and
only reveals the truth of it all in the final moments of the
film.
Although it's certainly no classic it's no flop
either. It's not your typical serial killer movie as it's on more
of a phycological level, really taking it's time to unravel the
plot. On first viewing the ending seems to be a huge anti climax
on second viewing its much more understandable. Its more of a
thinking mans video nasty with its comparitively few gore scenes
really packing a punch.
It's not an essential purchase but one to look
out for if you fancy something very different (and superior) to
your average slasher flick.
Gore highlights
The key murder scene with the two religious nuts
is not especially bloody but very nasty anyway with mr Schramm
slitting the guys throat open in violent fashon and smashing a
hammer off of his partners head, a very violent scene indeed.
My favourite scene occurs at the dentist's where
mr Schramm's demented works overtime imagining the dentist
removing one of his eyes from it's socket!!!????
Also worthy of note is a scene where Schramm
falls off a stepladder and through his strange mind imagines his
leg falling right off???
