The beautiful and bizarre world of geothermals
There are geothermal features all over Yellowstone National Park, we saw quite a few of them, some of them are impressive, some are just weird and most of them smell really bad! (sulphur). The landscapes often looked lunar or alien.
Below is a 2 minute movie I made of the best 20 photos I took, the last 4 are professional pictures off the internet. Make sure you have the sound on as I've added some fitting atmospheric music, the pics change in time to the words. The big geyser is Old Faithful - the only geyser that is accurately predictable and hence viewed the most. The final pic is Grand Prismatic Spring from the air, compare it's size to the people on the boardwalk.
