I thought it was time to resurrect the MKH3 Bash. I
believe there have been some(well, one) in the past many moons
ago when King and One Loos organised one from the Greyhound Aldbury
in May
2000, which I discovered when hacking my way into the MKH3
website. Does anybody remember this, does anybody actually care?
Anyway we will be holding a double bash, one for the
knitting circle and hash kids, and a slightly longer trail.
Hash Kids Treasure Hunt
The intention is for this to be part bash/part treasure hunt.
The prizes will be the choice of either drinking or wearing some
of our positively famous MKH3 down down beer. Good Head will be
your hare for this one and it will cover around 4-5 miles.
BASH
For those FRB's in our little pack of merry drinkers,
there will be a slightly longer trail. I promise this will be
completely flat, except for the hilly bits. I wouldn't bother
doing this route on a racing bike though, it is mountain bike
territory. The usual MKH3 markings will apply. We will hold each
check so if you are really really slow, there's a good chance
that if we like you we will wait for you. If you have a whistle,
please bring it, it's sometimes difficult to hear you shout On-On
when you're 1/2 a mile down a false trail. Bring a puncture repair
kit and a pump. Whilst the hashers are a freindly lot in general
and will try and help out should you get a puncture, you could
end up at the back and need to fix it yourself. If you do get
a puncture and you can't fix it yourself, I recommend finding
the nearest pub, locking your bike and asking the landlord if
you can phone for a taxi whilst sampling some of his fine ales.
Transport to/from Pub
Anybody requiring transport to the pub who doesn't
have a car bike rack/estate available to them, I can pick up your
bike for you and take it to and return it from the pub. Bikes
won't be returned to those who just decide they're going to get
pissed and can't be ars*d cycling home. If you do need help with
transporting your bike, then let me know your house number and
postcode before Friday 23rd Sept. You can mail me on b a s h AT s h o w p i e c e DOT co DOT uk
(Remove the spaces, change the AT to @ and DOT to . ) Any other
questions feel free to give me a shout.

somebody elses website. Unfortuently I've lost the link to it
so I can't credit him with the details. So if it's yours thank
you very much and it's really very good.
