• In June Richard made his comprehensive annual tour of Japan, with 12 One-man shows throughout this fascinating country, including: Tokyo (Tachikawa, Tamagawa, Nihonbashi and Shinjuku), Yokohama, Morioka City, Kooriyama, Nagoya, Osaka, Hiroshima, Kyoto and Kokura City. The shows were a considerable success, large new works such as ‘Song of Love’ proving to be particularly sought after.
• ‘Orange Sail’ was selected for this year’s Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts, Piccadilly, W1. The show is on until 17th August 2008.
• More of Richard’s work can be seen at the Newcastle & Gateshead Art Fair at Sage, Gateshead 11th – 14th September, with Bianco Nero Gallery of Stokesley, N.Yorks. Tel: 01642 714433
• ‘Rowing Boat II’ has been selected for the Royal West of England Academy Open Exhibition, Bristol, 26th October – 14th December. www.rwa.org.uk
