I work for a company called IDIS World Medicines which import and export medicines around the world. They have a web page at http;//www.idis.co.uk. Can you find a photo of me on it?
My job title is "ITC and HR Supervisor" which means I oversee things to do with computers, machines and people in our office. In case this doesn't sound very exciting, I'll put some photos on of us in fancy dress when I get round to it!
Here are the sort of things my job involves:
day to day administration and development of a Novell Network with 2 Intranetware 4.11 servers and a Netware 3.12 server
installing, maintaining and upgrading company hardware such as PCs, scanners and printers
installing, maintaining and upgrading software (Windows 3.11/95, Novell Groupwise, Lotus AmiPro, Lotus Approach, Corel QuattoPro Microsoft Powerpoint)
training users on the above software systems and producing training notes
providing hardware and software support for colleagues in a help-desk role
managing the company web site and e-mail system
providing consultancy to managers on strategic business decisions
project management such as upgrade from Netware 3.12 to Intranetware 4.11 and implementation of Novell Groupwise as group-working software
supervise 2 other members of staff
day to day administration of Alcatel phone and voicemail system
