Staking
The question of staking plans will be talked about as long as people continue to wager on the outcome of horse racing or for that matter any kind of betting.
There are people who swear by such methods and there are those who claim they would'nt use a staking plan if it was the last thing on earth. When you examine methods of staking what becomes apparent is that though many punters claim they would never use a staking plan they then go on to bet varying amounts according to the amount of value they think they have, which seems to me like a staking plan. Whichever way you look at it you will use some form of staking plan as even using simple level stakes on each selection is a staking plan whether people choose to ignore this fact or not.
One staking plan that I have always thought of to be one of the better ideas is one mentioned by the great Van Der Wheil in his book systematic betting.
The idea behind this particular plan is to win a point for each bet that you strike so if you strike 5 bets per week and your usual stake is £10 then you would be aiming for a profit of £50 per week.
