Front lane looking south around 1920, in the autumn of 1956 and summer of 1961. Comparing the two modern photographs of Mr Radford's of the same date, it is apparent that curb stones came to the southern part of the parish earlier than the north. The edge of a poplar tree is visible on the lefthand edge of both the modern photographs, otherwise much of the vegetation, fencing and lamposts changed in these few short years. The older photograph shows 'Greenbanks' onthe left and the rectory through the trees on the right. Select from the buttons below to change to the alternate view. The 'change view' button will take you to the foot of the hill and look back up the bridge to the north.
