Rev Dr. Solomon B. Nkesiga
Ph.D., M.Phil., B.A. Hons, Post. Dip. in Human Resource Management, (all at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, formerly University of Port Elizabeth, South Africa); B.Div. (Bishop Tucker Theol. College, Mukono, Uganda)
A Ugandan by birth, Rev Nkesiga, with his wife, Rev Diana Nkesiga, and their 2 children (Ignatius and Themba), has spent the last 12 years as missionaries in South Africa. He worked for a few years as a schoolteacher and then after ordination in the Church of Uganda, taught at Uganda Martyrs Seminary Namugongo. Since then, he has pastored churches at the extremes of the South African context, one township church and another all-white church in Port Elizabeth. Throughout his time there, he has been involved in research and teaching, demonstrating a commitment to integrated and holistic ministry. He was formally appointed to KEST in April 2005 and took up his responsibilities fully in June 2005. |
ACADEMIC DEAN
Mr Peter M. Muriuki M.Div. (N.I.S.T., Kenya), B. Ed. (Uni of Nairobi, Kenya)
After many years teaching at the secondary and tertiary levels in his native Kenya, Mr Peter Muriuki joined the faculty of KEST in 2004 to teach Systematics and Pastoral Studies. He also brings with him a wealth of experience in educational administration (having been a Headmaster and a Head of Department, the latter at The Kenya Polytechnic). Peter is married to Janet, and they have three grown-up children. |

CHAPLAIN & LECTURER – Christian Counselling
Revd Canon Hosea Matsiko M.A. (NIST, Kenya), B.Div. (Bishop Tucker Theol. College, Mukono, Uganda)
Canon Matsiko has been both a secondary and tertiary level teacher and a church minister in Anglican churches in the southwest of Uganda. Having worked at a Diocesan level in the Anglican church in Bushenyi, he was given the opportunity to study for a Masters in Counselling at the Nairobi International School of Theology, from where he has recently joined KEST. He is married to Edith, and they have five children. |

LECTURER – Systematics & Christian Education
Mrs Mona Kikomeko
M.Div. (Tyndale Theological Seminary, Netherlands), B.A. with Education. (M.U.K., Uganda)
Formerly a teacher and head teacher with the Watoto Childcare Ministries of Kampala Pentecostal Church (where her responsibilities included project management, counselling & teaching of traumatized children, as well as needs assessments), Mrs Kikomeko had the chance to pursue further studies in Holland at Tyndale Theological Seminary. With her wide experience and academic abilities, she was recruited to the KEST faculty in January 2005, and now heads the Christian Education Department. She is married to Sam and they have one son, Samuel-Joel. |

ASSISTANT LECTURER – Christian Education
Ms Rebecca Kyanda B.A. (Kenya Highlands College, Kenya)
Brought up by Ugandan parents in Kenya, Ms Rebecca Kyanda worked at the Good Shepherd Church, Nairobi, mainly in children’s and youth ministry, before going to train at Kenya Highlands College. She joined the KEST faculty in 2003 when her family returned to Uganda.

Rev Eugene Wright – Biblical Studies & Youth Ministry (Pastoral Ministry)
Works for Young Life and is a highly experienced Youth Worker; he has previously taught Biblical Studies but now is focussed primarily on training for youth ministry. |

Dr Brent Slater – Biblical Studies & Christian Education
For many years a missionary in Uganda with Conservative Baptist Union, he is heavily involved in mentoring and pastoring Christian leaders all around Uganda. |

Mr Aggrey Mugisha – Communications
Works with the regional office of IFES (the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students) based in Uganda. |

Ms Florence Sitenda – Counselling
Has been a freelance teacher and trainer, working especially with various NGOs, training them in counselling issues and practice. |

Mr Ephraim Gensi – Business Management (Development Studies)
Has for many years been a leader of African Evangelistic Enterprise as well as a member of the KEST board of Trustees. |

Mr Mark Barrell – Ethics (Integrated Studies)
A lawyer by background, he is a missionary with the UK’s Baptist Missionary Society and in Uganda working with the Uganda Lawyers Christian Fraternity. |

Mr Mike Chibita – Ethics (Integrated Studies)
Formerly Legal Counsel to the President of Uganda and now in the office of the Attorney General, he is also a member of the KEST Board of Directors. |

Mrs Doreen Atim – English (Integrated Studies)
Programme Officer, Gender Desk with the Uganda Joint Christian Council, she is an MA candidate in Gender & Women’s Studies, Makerere. |

Dr Reuben Musiime – Christian Education
Formerly, KEST’s Academic Dean and then Acting Principal, Dr Musiime is now Director of AMG Uganda, an NGO specialising in child development ministries. |

Rev Darrie Turner – Pastoral Ministry
A missionary from the USA in Uganda for a number of years, Rev Turner has wide experience in training pastors and church planters, especially in the western part of the country. |

Rev John Moi – Pastoral Ministry & African Traditional Religion
Sudanese by birth, Rev Moi has been a missionary with AIM for a number of years, and has broad experience in pastoral ministry and theological education. |
