Dear Diary ...

It was one of those dull days today! Apart from the fact that the weather couldn't really make up it's mind whether it was summer or spring, all was quiet on the Kingsholm front.

The Housing Department staff who run their surgery in the TCC office on a Wednesday were even having a good-natured "moan" that no one was popping into the surgery.

Our stock answer is to suggest that if no one visits the office, then eveyone is happy and contented!

But they staff do have a point! If no one comes in, then it is boring - and the "FreeCell" or "Battleships" games that Mr. Gates thoughtfully includes with Windows do get boring after a while!

It could also be something to do with the fact that August is the height of the "silly season" when everyone goes on holiday.

From the TCC's perspective, one of our members was doing the "grannie" thing all day with her recently-arrive grandson. A couple of others were way, and a fourth described himelf as being in "headless chicken mode" at work!

He was last seen at 4.10 pm sprinting towards the train station in an attempt to catch the 4.13 p.m Great Western train to London. Smoke signal indicate that had the train departed on time, he would have missed it. However rumour has it Great Western Trains were 30 seconds late, and he made it by 5 seconds.

And that is the sort of day it has been!
