We are Malcolm Presland and Melanie Vincent. We are the very proud owners of the Kofyn Show Dogs. We are located in the beautiful Three Choirs area of England on the borders of Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire. A local saying is Blessed is the Eye twixt the Severn and the Wye. Our most famous local hero is the composer Sir Edward Elgar, himself a bulldog lover.

We were both brought up in doggy households and both showed dogs but met each other on a blind date arranged by one of our few non doggy friends!

Malcolm's family kept English Bull Terriers then Boxers including one from the famous Wardrobes Kennel. When he left home he owned and bred Boxers, too busy to show them himself they were handled in the ring by Mary Foam (Ymar). He then decided to choose a slower pace of life (so he thought!) and bought his first bulldog, Uachtar Taleen.

Malcolm judges Bulldogs at championship level in the UK, on the Continent and in America. He is Honorary Secretary of the Junior Bulldog Club. He is also the Bulldog Breed Note correspondent for Our Dogs the No 1 weekly Canine paper in the UK. Malcolm is a 'B' list judge for Miniature Bull Terriers.

Melanie's family kept Poodles and Borzois but while still living at home she preferred obedience and agility to the show ring and owned the first ever toy poodle to do agility in the UK. Her first venture into the show ring was with a Borzoi, Colhugh Calamity and a friend's Great Dane Auldmoor Annie Laurie. Akitas were a big part of her life for 16 years not forgetting the smooth Chihuahua's, but its all BULL from now on!!

Melanie is a championship show judge for Bulldogs and a 'B' list judge for Miniature Bull Terriers, Bullmastiffs, Anatolians and Chihuahuas. She has had the very great honour of judging at Crufts twice! Melanie is also a show reporter and Mini Bull Breed Note Correspondent for Our Dogs

About our very unique kennel name, KOFYN is a play on words of an item connected with Malcolm's profession!
