
- The ruler of the English throne from 1461-1483, his time on the throne was
dominated by a major dispute with Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick, the man largely
responsible for placing Edward on the throne.
The king was briefly replaced in 1470, but victories by Edward during battles at
Tewkesbury and Barnet ( during which the
Earl of Warwick was killed) led to the monarch regaining the throne.
