• The ruler of the English throne from 1485-1509, he was instrumental in ending the WAR OF THE ROSES, when he led a rebellion against the then ruler Richard III, who was killed at the Battle of Bosworth Field in 1485. The new monarch restored order by forming the notorious "Star Chamber", later to achieve fame during the reign of Charles I.
