
- The British son of an exiled Italian , Rossetti is credited with forming the Pre-Raphaelite
movement, who specialised in painting images from medieval life as well as religious or literary
symbols. The resulting effect was very stylised, with great intricate and decorative detail.
Rosetti was great friends with William Morris and John Ruskin, both involved in the British
Arts and Crafts Movement of the 19th Century.
The writer, Jan Marsh, has written a number of well received biographies Hardback, 592 pages
