
- The British son of an exiled Italian , Rossetti is created with forming the Pre-Raphaelite
movement who specialised in painting images from medieval life as well as religious or literary
symbols. The resulting effect was very stylised , with great intricate and decorative detail.
Rosetti was great friends with William Morris and John Ruskin , both involved highly in the British
Arts and Crafts scene of the 19th Century. The collected writing provides further insight
