BASELINE
9400 TDR/ICE - the unique cable diagnostic system: - A state-of-the
art cable fault locating instrument containing a high speed data recorder, capable of
capturing and evaluating 40 million samples of electrical data per second, while also
featuring amplifiers, attenuators and an adjustable pulse generator.
Controlled via a laptop or notebook computer, K&S Engineering and Scientific LTD's BASELINE 9400 TDR differs from the
conventional Time Domain Reflection (TDR) range of instruments in that it provides
immediate data storage and print facilities, both on-site and in the office. Through
a simple "save" routine, a snapshot of the trace on screen can be stored
together with all other pertinent data concerning that trace. This special feature
enables the user to build an historical library of a cable, thereby facilitating future
fault location on the same cable.
The data storage option can additionally be used to build a comprehensive database of
information about the entire reticulation system or network in a designated area or at the
time a cable is installed or any time thereafter - thereby establishing the BASELINE for
all future cable testing and maintenance.
Added to the storage and recording capabilities the BASELINE
9400 TDR incorporates a unique split screen display by depicting both the
total length trace of the cable and a zoomed section of the area under observation.
All set-up parameters and distance (between cursors) are also displayed.
By examining the detailed features of BASELINE
9400 TDR, it will become evident that the emphasis
throughout the design of BASELINE
9400 TDR has been on simple, reliable and
comfortable operation without compromising on quality or capability.
