Musical Education

Born in Moscow on the 21st of February, 1972 into a family of Musicians. His mother, Nina Larionova, is Soprano Soloist of the "Bolshoi" Opera and his father, Andrei Shishlov, is 1st Violinist of the "Shostakovich Quartet". Began studying the violin at the age of 6 under the guidance of his father and continued his studies at the Music School of the Moscow Conservatory with Inna Gaukhman. Completed his musical education at the College of the Moscow "Tchaikovsky" Conservatory gaining his Diploma with maximum marks.

Played regularly as Soloist and Chamber Musician, performing in 1987 at the "Rachmaninov" Hall, and the "Small" Concert Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. In 1991 was selected by the Soviet Youth Orchestra to participate at the Festival of Symphonic music in Vienna. Since August 1991 has resided in Italy where he has attended several Masterclasses with the following teachers ; Liana Issakadse, Pavel Vernikov, Dario de Rosa and Alexandre Lonquich. In 1995 won his Diploma at the "Arrigo Boito" Conservatory in Parma, Italy.

Performing Career

From 1992 played as a member of the following Orchestras ; Orchestra Stabile di Bergamo, OFI (Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana) di Piacenza and the OFI di Trento, The "Angelicum" di Milan, Orchestra Sinfonica di Pavia, and as leader The "Villa Lobos" Symphony Orchestra. In 1993, after successful auditioning, entered the Orchestra "Guido Cantelli" of Milan. Toured, with this Orchestra throughout the following European Locations ; Zurich, Venice, Turin, Florence, Rome, Palermo, Ankara (Turkey), "La Scala", Milan and The Mozarteum of Salzburg (at the "Easter Festival").

In 1993 started recording sessions with the "Guido Cantelli" Orchestra, recording The Tchaikovsky and Dvorak Serenades, Schoenberg's "Verklarte Nacht", Stravinsky's "Apollon Musagete", Mendelssohn's "Italian Symphony" and other pieces. In 1995 formed a Duo with the Pianist Elena Maiullari and has given many recitals in Northern Italy. Their repertoire consists of Beethoven, Shnittke, Prokofiev, Grieg, Schubert, Mozart and Bartok. Also formed a Quartet with Violinist Roland V.Herrera, Violist Jacob Zats and Cellist Simonetta Barone

Didactic Experience

Didactic activities include completing the Pedagogical Course at the Moscow Conservatory College with maximum marks. From 1995 to 1996 was Violin teacher at the Musical Association "Il Pentagramma" at Limbiate. In 1996 taught at the CDPM State Music School of Bergamo. Was Musical Assistant for the Compact Disc recording firm, Agorą collaborating with recording Artists Sergei Krylov and Stefania Mormone.
