Short Sample of Garlitzky Studies
A set of Graded studies, all short and designed to introduce difficulties
gradually may be downloaded here. These studies are by Garlitzky, and introduce
different finger patterns in other keys, position changing, double stops and so
on. Click on the page of your choice. Other pages may be available shortly. The
studies start at grade 1 difficulty and the last page is about grade 5. They are
only intended as a short sample of studies, and not a comprehensive course.
Studies by Wohlfahrt, Kaysar and Mazas should provide the technical backbone to
reach grades 6, 7 and 8.

2 Short Pieces
These have a piano part. They should be played with a generous amount of
"singing" bow.

Concertino by Nikolic
This is a baroque style concertino in one movement, which serves well as one of
the first pieces of this genre. The student should have a good repertoire of
short pieces mastered before tackling this first major work. The piano part is
not yet included. Difficulty : Grade 2 / 3.
