Born into a family of musicians, studied the Violoncello and Piano winning a Siberian / Ural Youth Competition at the age of 12. Then studied at the Moscow Conservatoire College, and later at the Moscow Conservatoire, itself. Teachers were Maria Tchaikovskaia, and Natalia Shahovskaia, both pupils of M. Rostropovich.

While attending participated in the Moscow Autumn Festival in 1990 and 1991, playing music by contemporary Moscovite composers. Was also a member of the Conservatory Soloists' Ensemble and played in Soviet-American and Soviet-German Youth Orchestras under the baton of Zubin Mehta, Leonard Slatkin, Valery Gergeiev and Dimitri Kitaenko. During this period recorded on compact disk for the "Melodiya" company music by Russian composers.

From 1991 to 1993 played in the Russian National Orchestra, conducted by Michael Pletneyev touring Japan, United States, Germany, Spain and England. In 1993 came to Milan, Italy after being appointed 1st Cellist to the Orchestra "Guido Cantelli". Recently, playing in duo with the pianist Svetlana Tchernova, won the following prizes at International competitions :

1993 : 2nd prize and special prize "Palma D'Oro" at Finale Ligure.

1993 : 3rd prize at the "G.B.Viotti" competition at Vercelli.
1994 : 1st prize at the "Rovere D'Oro" competition at Imperia.
1995 : 1st prize at the "Cittą di Pavia" competition.

Now plays as soloist with a chamber orchestra, and is due to give a concert at the "Sala Verdi", Milan Conservatoire. With his pianist, Svetlana Tchernova, he also participates regularly at the festival "Academia delle Bell'Arti" of Lovere, as well as the "Settimanale Musicale" festival at Lugano, Switzerland. They have also toured Moscow, Kiev, Domodossola, Milan and other cities.
