The band issued 1,000 copies of the 7" in June 1978 with a special folding sleeve on their own Enigma label (later re-named Anonymous to avoid confusion with the US Enigma label). 1,200 copies of the 12" version were released in October 1978.

Sordide Sentimental: SS 33002 (7") 1980

1,578 copies were issued by the French company Sordide Sentimental in March 1980, accompanied by a booklet written by Jean-Pierre Turmel. Made to be played at 33 rpm.

These tracks are left-overs from the Closer session. An initial pressing of 25,000 copies was released on April 18th. The flexi was financed from the sales of FAC 23 and was given away free in British record stores. The US release was manufactured by Evatone and was described as a "free soundsheet".

The B-side of the 7" plays at 33 rpm (some promo pressings omit track 3 and play at 45 rpm). The 12" cover artwork comes from the Staglieno Cemetery in Genova, Italy.
