Court House(?)

Building dating from end of 5th century BC in which six bronze ballots were found in a terracotta "ballot box". The ballots (below) were designed to be held between thumb and forefinger by the juror (so that his vote was secret) - there were two types: the solid axle for acquittal and the hollow axle for condemnation. The identification of the building as a coutroom rests on these finds.
