DeiphobusDeïphobus, son of Priam and Hecabe, and brother of Paris and Hector. A stalwart fighter - he was impersonated by Athena (Book 22) to induce Hector to stay outside the walls. After the Iliad he became Helen's third husband (after Paris' death), and was killed and mutilated by Menelaus. He makes a memorable appearance in Virgil's Aeneid (Book 6).
