Euripides Medea

Aegeus and Medea are pleased to see each other: he's on his way to Pittheus in Troezen, who might be able to explain the curious oracle about his impotence ("do not unstop the wineskin's neck..."). Medea kneels (a second time - she knelt to Creon and got what she wanted) and says she'll cure his trouble if he'll give her a refuge in Athens. How does he reply?

Of course I'll take you to Athens with me.

I'd love to help, but the king of Corinth is my friend.

I can't help you escape from Corinth
