Euripides Medea

Jason says he can persuade his wife without any gifts - no need to waste them! But Medea insists, and the boys follow Jason to the palace carrying the poisoned dress and tiara in a casket. She tells them the gifts must be given to the princess personally. The women sing of their terror: the princess will die as she puts on the coronet; Medea will kill the children to punish the husband who abandoned her and took another wife. Who enters now?

    Jason?

    A messenger?

    The boys with their tutor?
