Painting and Firing a Red Figure Vase

What's happening?

Slide 1 :

The Charcoal Drawing on to the unfired clay pot.

Slide 2 :

A 5mm line is painted with a fine brush completely enclosing the figure

Slide 3 :

The fine detail is added with the "relief line"

Slide 4 :

The background is painted in with a thick brush

Slide 5 :

In kiln - pot goes completely black

Slide 6 :

After firing - paint stays black, rest reverts to red
