Opening Details

The exhibition at Northolt Village Community Centre (see home page for location details) will be open from
10.30 a.m. until 5.00 p.m.

Attractions

  • A number of visiting layouts are expected (see below)
  • 3 1/2" & 5" Live Steam train rides available all day
  • Boating Pool  - Hosepipe Restrictions permitting.
  • Static displays of Club members' models
  • Six "trade stands" including - J & K Videos and Radley Hobbies (Subject to change)
  • Preservation societies - GWR Preservation Grp (Southall) & Ruislip Lido Railway Soc (Subject to change)
  • Refreshments including a selection of freshly made sandwiches and cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks.

    West London Parcels BR 1970's 4mm scale Set in the Olympia area of West London. presented by
    John Baggaley
    The Roundhouse Set in the 1950's the layout portrays a Union Pacific Roundhouse of the late
    steam era.Presented by Ian Lampkin and friends
    McKendrick Street Yard 4mm scale layout of a busy goods yard of the 1960's presented by John Tanner of
    Weston Model Railway Society .
    Tedburn St Mary 4mm scale layout displaying a sleepy GWR branch line in 1947.
    Presented by Martin Pinder and team of South West Herts MRC.
    St Mark's Yard
    (The Rat Hole)
    Set in Los Angeles using 3.5mm scale it depicts a Santa Fe inner city freight
    depot. Presented by Tim Neale and team from the Western Model Railway Society
    Burwell Fen 2mm scale depiction of a East Anglia branch line during the BR steam period.
    Presented by Mark Fielder
    New Brushford BR 1980's 4mm scale Shunting Yard that shows what can be done in a small
    space. Presented by Tim Wimbush
    Nictun Borrud BR 4mm scale small Hampshire branch line set in the early diesel period.

    Vintage 3-Rail Display A Hornby Dublo 3 rail layout presented by Peter Ingleton & Grandson
    from Northolt MRC

    Admission prices are:

    Adults £2.50
    Senior Citizens and Children £1.50
    Family Ticket (2 adults plus up to 3 children) £6.00

    The ground floor of the Community Centre is accessible to wheelchair users.

    First Aid will be provided by St. John Ambulance.
