Opening Details

The exhibition at Northolt Village Community Centre (see home page for location details) will be open from
10.30 a.m. until 5.00 p.m.

Attractions

  • A number of visiting layouts are expected (see below)
  • 3 1/2" & 5" Live Steam train rides available all day
  • Boating Pool  - Hosepipe Restrictions permitting.
  • Static displays of Club members' models
  • Various "trade stands" including Peter Cowen Books and RTC Models (Subject to change)
  • Preservation societies -TO BE ADVISED- (Subject to change)
  • Refreshments including a selection of freshly made sandwiches and cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks.

    A variety of layouts, in all gauges, are being arranged and once confirmed, will appear below:

    Layout Name Details
    Nictun Borrud Set somewhere in the rolling chalk hills of the Hampshire Downs.
    Built in finescale OO, it features Southern Region 3rd Rail Electric units.
    St Mark's Yard
    (The Rat Hole)
    Set in Los Angeles using 3.5mm scale it depicts a Santa Fe inner city
    freight depot. Presented by Tim Neale and team from the Western
    Model Railway Society
    Fisherton Sarum A OO gauge layout inspired by the motive power depot at Salisbury
    in the period 1946-9.
    Dubly A vintage railway using original Hornby Dublo 3 rail, manufactured
    between 1938-64. The perfect table railway of its day.
    Elk Valley Railroad A layout inspired by holidays in New England and Pennysylvania,
    displaying freight and passenger trains as well as a vintage streetcar.
    service.
    Croxley-Wiggenhall Road Depot Based loosely on the LMR Croxley Green Depot. The layout captures
    some of the key elements of the area in the 1960-80 era.
    Saxlingham Of 4mm scale, this is an imaginary line from Fakingham to Sheringham
    in East Anglia in 1968.
    Moores Lane a 7mm scale ‘O’ gauge layout.It represents a cross country
    branch line which your imagination could place anywhere.
    Rixworth Green Set on the Surrey/Sussex border during the 1920's of nowhere in
    particular but with a strong LBSCR influance.
    Just Sidings A layout in N gauge. This is a branch line somewhere in Southern
    England.
    St Jennifer's Road Mk1 A fictitous single track branch line out of Southall
    into the area around Heston and Feltham.

    Admission prices are:

    Adults £2.50
    Senior Citizens and Children £1.50
    Family Ticket (2 adults plus up to 3 children) £6.00

    The ground floor of the Community Centre is accessible to wheelchair users.

    First Aid will be provided by St. John Ambulance.
