The bi-ennial Modelling Competition was held on 22nd April 2005.

Models entered into the competition are judged by club members present and the entry for each section that receives the most votes is the winner. The categories are as follows:-

Bernard Hind Memorial Award for Locomotives (7mm and under)

Geoff Pitt (centre) won the Scenic section with his 1935 Holden designed London Transport station in 4mm scale. This model received 18 votes.

The Crankpin Trophy for Model Engineering.

The Model Engineering section was won with 17 votes by Alan Anstiss (left) for his Standard Class 9F chassis in 71/4" gauge.

The next modelling competition will be held on 27th April 2007
