What is the Legion, you may ask?

Good question. The Legion is basically a parody of an efficient military group, although we have had some efficiencies of our own from time to time. The French Legion was originally founded in 1994, by Mike Hallenbeck, David Boelens, and Cliff Wentworth, in Killeen, Texas. Shortly after my arrival in Killeen in 1995, I enrolled in the French Legion, as a cadet. It was a short but nonetheless grueling initiation ritual. At that time, the Legion was a somewhat fluctuating group of about 10 to 15, with about 6 constant members. In summer of 1996, Adm. Hallenbeck, who was at that point the leader of the Legion, was relocated to Chesterfield, Michigan, where he created the 1st known remote Legion outpost. Adm. Boelens and Adm. Wentworth were likewise relocated. I was left in command of the Killeen troops. For the next year, I continued my duty to the best of my ability, with Lt. Cmdr. Kurt Piepenbrink as my executive officer and Lt. Cmdr. David "Ace" Snowberger as my chief of operations. At the end of my year of command, Admiral Hallenbeck returned and I became executive officer. Cmdr. Snowberger departed for Maryland, and Cmdr. Piepenbrink continued on for a brief time as ops officer. However, three months later, Cmdr. Piepenbrink left as well, leaving the ops officer position open. The two officers up for the position were Lt. Cmdr. Brian Phillips, a somewhat inactive veteran, and Lt. Cmdr. T.J. McCart, a recent initiate. The position went to Cmdr. McCart, and at that point the Legion Hierarchy was created, and still exists to this day as the 3 highest-ranking officers at Legion HQ. After the departure of Cmdr. Phillips, the Legion was somewhat stagnant until autumn of 1998, at which point the Legion began recruiting several officers. The HQ crew remained rather stable until June of 1999, at which point I left HQ for England, where I created the Legion Outpost 212. The current HQ complement is:

Adm. Mike Hallenbeck, commanding officer
Adm. T.J. McCart, executive officer
Capt. Randall Syfert, operations officer
Lt. Cmdr. Tony Hale, hierarchy advisor
Ens. Seth Harwood, security officer
Chief David Wright, commanding NCO
