| I saw this film at the
world premier, before any critics had seen it, so I didn't know if it was any good - and
it's not. It really is an insult to Britain I guess - we don't all drink tea - and those
that do are not that obsessed. We don't always talk about the weather, and there's much
more to London than Red buses, red telephone boxes, Big Ben and Nelson's column. I think
it was very funny to see all the stereotypes, and it was strange seeing Shaun Ryder and
Eddie Izzard acting. There are two things that redeem the film - a brilliant scene
featuring all the bad guys having a meeting - I won't spoil it for you, as it's so
surreal, so funny. The other great thing is the soundtrack - Roni Size, Stereo MCs and
Suggs. |
