| This film does not
live up to expectations (unless they are low - or you've read any review of it). The
acting is not as good as you might expect from Uma Thurman, Arnold Schwarzenegger, George
Clooney and Chris O'Donnell, but Alicia Silverstone and Elle Macpherson make up for it, as
does the actor who plays Alfred, the butler, the only actor to be in all four recent
Batman movies. The first two of the four were very, very good (and still are), and then
came 'Batman Forever' which did the impossible - equalled it's Batman Returns (mainly
thanks to Jim Carrey and Val as Batman). This does not have as good a soundtrack as the
last Batman (The only good track being from Underworld). It's still a great movie, though
MIB is miles better. It is, however, much better than Fifth Element, as this has a better
plot, better special effects and has much less product placement. It's worth going to see,
but only after you've seen MIB and The Lost World (which I'm seeing next week (probably).
Other films I want to see when they arrive here include Spawn, Contact, Volcano, Bean,
Conspiracy Theory & Event Horizon... |
