History
Of all the solo artists in the world, Norman Cook is currently the coolest.  The second coolest is Beck.   Odelay, his second album, is one of my favourite albums of all time, and his debut single, Loser, is one of the coolest songs ever.  Where It's At is my fifth favourite song of the '90s.  All he does, rules - everything from the specially written song for A Life Less Ordinary, Deadweight, to his supercool remix of Air's Sexy Boy.  His videos are always splendid too, and Beck has never forgotten his roots - releasing records under different names on independent labels.

Beck's last new single for up to two years, and a taster for his 3rd LP which Mr Hansen is about to write, this is a superb single, specially written for the soundtrack to A Life Less Ordinary (From the makers of Trainspotting, starring Ewan Mc Gregor). The single is accompanied with two other new tracks - Erase The Sun & SA-5. The sleeve is quite literally a work of art - Kleine Sonne 1969 by Hannah Hoch. The CD is very good. Beck is currently number one in the singles chart, number one in my albums chart.
