| French music has
taken over our charts recently, with acts such as Etienne De Crecy, Daft
Punk/Stardust/Spacedust and, of course, Air - one of the coolest bands of the year.
Singles such as Sexy Boy and Kelly Watch The Stars have been refreshing changes from the
more aggressive music that usually resides in my CD-Player. They're one of the most
laid back acts around, as proved by their extremely relaxed Jools Holland appearance in
the Spring. Their radio edits are always superb, and the remixes/b-sides, always
faultless. The debut album Moon Safari made the UK top ten, and deservedly so - it's
great. |

| The debut single from the hottest
band of the moment has finally arrived. The French duo, Air have already stormed the album
chart, and now we can finally hear the cool new remixes, from (among others) the one, the
only, Etienne De Crecy! Wicked! |

| Air are one of the best new
groups around. They had their first UK appearance on Friday's 'Later With Jools Holland',
where they played this and Sexy Boy live - using a vocoder to great effect - they did one
of the best Jools Holland performances in recent times, and I cannot wait to see and hear
more from them. Kelly Watch The Stars, second single from the amazing album 'Moon Safari',
has also got an amazing video, and the single features a cool remix of Sexy Boy, by non
other than Beck, and cool b-sides. |
