History
Extravaganza records are fatastic.  Chicane are their most successful chart act, mainly thanks to the 1996 and 1997 Ibiza anthem, Offshore - which was even spun by Capital FM - spun to death that is!   Chicane (AKA Disco Citizens) can always be relied upon to produce an Ibiza floor-filler each year, and there will no doubt be a huge demand for their remixing skills after fine remixing dispays in songs such as Lithium's minor hit Ride A Rocket.

Offshore, almost exactly a year ago peaked at number 14, and made Chicane an absolute fortune. It happens to be one of my favourite songs ever, and this remix is fully credible. Chicane (AKA Disco Citizens) have released two thumping singles between Offshore and Offshore '97 - the equally ambient Footprint and Sunstroke. Offshore is an obvious classic, but the subsequent singles have ruled too. This has to be bought. If you only ever buy one ambient CD - buy this one - and listen too it loud!

Chicane have released some brilliant singles in the past - every one an Ibiza classic. This, however is one of the poorer releases, with the Disco Citizens remix being the only redeeming feature. Unlike '96 and '97, this year's biggest ambient Ibiza anthem is not from Chicane, but from either Energy 52 or Nalin & Kane.

Yeah! Disco Citizens (AKA Chicane) return with yet another brilliant slice of Ibiza 98, and is sure to be another massive hit for them, following on from last year's Footprint '97. Also, anything with Badger in it can't be bad, now can it - especially if it's Bodger & Badger.
