| Australasia's finest
band, now that Crowded House no longer exist, are set to be massive in 1999, with a superb
new single released at the beginning of January, with their fourth album following a
couple of weeks later, on their own independant label, shhhh!
records. The four-piece band was started in 1991. It took them until
1995 to reach our shores. I saw them back then at WOMAD, where they played an
excellent set. I was one of over a million who saw them live that year. |

| Rain,

   |
| The new Mutton Birds LP
is very good, but never quite betters the new single, Pulled Along By Love - and the album
version of that track does not have the same freshness as the single remix. Still,
the album stas excellently with AsCloseAsThis - surely a future single |

Along By Love |
    |
| The best single of the
year so far - oh yeah, it's the first single of the year. But seriously, this is a
very funky single, and if this is representitive of the forthcoming Mutton Brilds LP, Rain,
Steam & Speed, then that will definately be one of album highlights of 1999. |
