| Jurassic Park, of
1993, was an amazing film. It had special effects never seen before, excellent sound and a
brilliant plot. Since then there have been other great action films, such as Twister,
Speed & Independence Day. There are sequences in The Lost World which remind me of
elements of all three of these films (People running in a field, A bus causing destruction
& crowds running for their lives and crashing their cars). This has much better
special effects and computer graphics than the original, with only a Jeff Goldblum from JP
in a major role (although Attenborough and the kids make appearances too). The film has
parts which are frightening, but it is not nearly a scary as it's prequel, as we have got
more used to the idea of the dinosaurs. This has got to be seen on the big screen with
digital sound, otherwise it wouldn't be worth it - DO NOT wait for it to come out on video
- it'll be a waste of time! There is a cool bit with T-Rex let loose on San Diego... I
won't spoil it for you though. |
