Organisation

The Society is run by several Committees and a Registrar.

Main Committee


The Main Committee directs the policy and strategy of the Society. It is comprised of the following representatives:

It meets whenever required and also holds an Annual General Meeting to which all full members are entitled to attend.

Ethics Subcommittee



In addition to the Main Committee there is also an Ethics Subcommittee whose purpose is to hear complaints against members of the Society and adjudicate disputes between them as laid down in the Code of Ethics.

It meets on an ad hoc basis and is comprised of 3 full members pulled from a pool of 6 full members representing both the massage and counselling disciplines.

Projects Subcommittee(s)



A Projects Subcommittee or subcommittees also exist to deliver the benefits of membership to the Society's members. These subcommittee(s) are staffed from full members who volunteer their time to ensure the Society delivers on its objectives.

Registrar



The Registrar is responsible for processing all membership enquiries and applications, including issuing Membership Certificates and collecting subscriptions. The Registrar is also responsible for keeping adequate records of all proceedings of the General and Committee Meetings and for conducting the business of the Society generally, subject to the direction of the Main Committee.
