For
the last ten years, our lives have revolved around the artisans of Mexico.
We decided to buy and sell handicrafts during a four month hitch hiking
trip to Turkey. Our initial thought was kilims, however wanderlust took us
to Guatemala, via Mexico. Emma was a student, taking a year out. Martin
gave up his job as a Maintenance fitter. That was ten years ago. We now
live happily in Scotland, with our two sons, in our tiny cottage. Martin
spends half his time going backwards and forwards to Mexico, keeping the
chiminea quality good, whilst Emma stays happy, raising Matthew, and David
William (Yorkie to his friends).
