In his dusty and ancient tomb, deep within the great pyramid of Tutankaramoon, the mighty king stirred from his slumber. The moon was in alignment with the 5 obelisks of Dameron, and the prophecy was fulfilled. Rising to his feet, the great Pharoah TutanKaramoon, most reverent king of the city of Karamon and exhaulted general of the army of eternity looked into the great polished mirror which adorned the walls of his tomb chamber. He screamed in terror - and then let out a howl of pure rage! He had been lied to and cheated. He was expecting to see the handsome young Khemrian face he left all those years ago, respelandant in his burnished golden armour, and at the head of an army of proud warriors as far as the eye could see. Instead , all which remained of the proud king was a rotting corpse, clad in musty old bandages, and home to an array of hungry maggots. His mighty army was nothing more than crumbling corpses, and rusty weapons. Slowly the reality of his situation dawned upon him. He was in a state between life an death - cheated of his glorious afterlife, where he would have been as powerful as a god. And robbed of the merciful release of death. He was damned to a life of eternal pain and damnation. Damn that Nagash! Damn him to hell! Irrevocable hatred welled within him. Tutankaramoon's noble soul was corrupted and twisted by thoughts of revenge. Hatred consumed the last remenants of humanity in the rotting mummies heart, and he made a solem and sincere promise. If he had been damned to this fate, he would not rest until he had exterminated every living soul on the planet, and subjected them to the same half-life that had been inflicted upon him.

The shambling horde of Karamoon marched to the the pyramid of Settra - the mightiest of the kings of Khemri, and karamoon's ruler in life, and in death. When he arrived, he found that even his mighty and noble ruler had been inflicted with the same fate. Karamoon immediately pledged his allegience to his old master. Since then, Tutankaramoon has served his master obiedently for centuries, as part of the raiding fleet known as Settra's reavers.

Now Tutankaramoon has been assigned by Settra to establish a city of the damned upon the shores of Lustria. As soon as Tutankaramoon's unholy ship of gleaming bone landed on shores, the mighty Liche Priest Raan cast dark magic upon it - shaping the capital city of Settra-Karamon from the raw bone. The bone spires reached high above the jungle canopy, the twisting staircases of vertabrae reaching to the very heavens themselves. As soon as the city was finished, the army explored outwards into the jungle. Any small villages they encountered where swiftly raised to the ground, and the bodies and souls of the tribesmen wre raised from the dead to serve the mighty army of Karamoon. Small hunting parties of scouts from the various tribes which reside in the jungle were swiftly killed, the trackers bodies being raised from the dead, acting as TutanKaramoon's eyes and ears. Soon the army stumbled upon an abaddoned temple of a once mighty Slann priest. Raan cast upon the doors to the sacred temple, and raised all of it's inhabitants from their rest to swell his horde. Only the Slann himself was saved from this hellish fate - the millenia old protective inchantments were too powerful for even the Liche Priest to break. The temple became the second city in Karamoon's new empire.

Now join Tutankaramoon as he continues to build his hellish empire of the damned, in the misty shores of Lustria.

Deployment of Tutankaramoon's Army

The campaign uses a modified version of the Mighty Empires campaign system. It required me to split my army up into 5 banners. The normal army restrcitions don't apply to the individual banners - only to the army as a whole. With my initial territory this gave me 1250 points. It also allowed me up to 75 points of Magic Items, and the option to include a mage of up to level 2. The army is deployed as follows.

BANNER #1 - The Wrath Of Karamoon - 601 Points

The Wrath Of Karamoon are the fast moving assault element of the army. The Tomb King himself leads this fast moving, all mounted, strike force which is currently patrolling the border of the my realm, and bordering on the adjacent High Elf territory. The plan is this elite force concentrates on harrasing any weak links in an an opponent's territory - hopefully diverting enough troops away from attacking my realm.

Tutankaramoon, Tomb King - 254 Points
Light Armour, Shield, Spear, Amber Amulet.

2 Skeleton Chariots - 134 Points
Light Armour, Shield, Spear.

Sobex, Skeleton Champion -31 Points
Light Armour, Shield, Spear, Skeleton Steed.

6 Skeleton Horsemen - 182 Points
Light Armour, Shield, Spear, Standard.

BANNER #2 - The Vengenace of Raan - 376 Points

Raan is the mighty Liche Priest of the Mortuary Cult, and it his unholy magic which is the backbone of Tutankaramoon's army. Tutankaramoon hates Raan with a hatred which has lasted centuries, but knows that he can't afford to kill Raan, as it will be killing him also. It is the hope of Tutankaramoon that he can find enough knowledge from the writings of the Old Ones to restore his army of eternity to the immortal form they were promised, and exact his revenge upon Raan.

Currently Raan has been left behind in the captured abbandoned Slann Pyramid-City, in part to study the plaques (unwittingly search for the knowledge that will be his downfall!), and in part to keep a constant stream of corspes to swell the ranks of the army. The city is of key importance, and so Raan protects it will his retinue of spear armed guards. Tutankaramoon has appointed one of his favourite servants and captains, Annubis, as a body guard to Raan. Annubis is just as loyal in death as he was in life, and Tutankaramoon treats him as a favoured son. Annubis protects the Liche from challenges, and also keeps an eye on Raan for his master.

Raan, Liche Priest Champion - 160 Points
Serpent Staff, Book Of Ashur

Annubis, Mummy Champion - 36 Points
Spear

Undead Guardians of the Tomb Of Qualapec (18 Skeleton Spears) - 180 Points

Scouts Of The Sacred Scarab (10 Skeleton Bowmen) - 90 Points

BANNER #4 - The Scouts Of The Sacred Cobra - 90 Points

Scouts Of The Sacred Cobra (10 Skeleton Bowmen) - 90 Points

BANNER #5 - The Scouts Of The Sacred Owl - 90 Points

Scouts Of The Sacred Owl (10 Skeleton Bowmen) - 90 Points

Campaign Turn 1

The Undead legions of King Tutankaramoon spread through the Jungle like a virus. Where ever the rattle of marching bones could be heard, it was not long before the entire area of jungle was filled with eerie and deadly silence. More villages fell to the army of damnation - the tribes men fleeing from the "jungle spirits" instead of giving battle. Those stubborn few that remained were swiflty killed, and their bones marched unwilling along side the rest of the army - their souls damned for all eternity. However, when Tutankaramoon's juggernaut ventured upon the Lizardmen settlement he discovered that the scaly ones were not quite so eager to flee in fear!

Battle Report

As the last globdules of black ooze congealed in the sarcophagus, Raan looked on in eager anticipation. The black ooze formed into the shape of Tutankaramoon, and the Mummy Tomb King was reborn once again. After the incredibly painful and frustrating rebirth process, the fury of Tutankaramoon knew no limits. Raan cowered behind the crypt as the mighty king threw timeless and priceless ornatements at him. Finally, when he regained his composure he looked at Raan with glowing red eyes. Immediately the Liche Priest knew what was expected of him.

"Most mighty and reverant master, ruler of stars and of the earth, noble and wise Empororer of the sun. I, your most humble servant kneel before you and present my report."

"Spare me your hollow pleasantries you scheming serpent. Tell me how my empire fairs - AND TELL ME NOW!!", bellowed Tutankaramoon.

"As you wish my leige. The legions of the damned are approaching the southern borders, led by one of the treachorous vampire counts - those who betrayed the fair land of Khemri for the eterenally damned Nagash. To the East, those of the Empire Of Man have established a large holding. To the West lie the realms of an Elven prince. Rumour has it that these elves have made a pact with the humans in order to attack our mighty empire!"

"Our Empire! I am the mighty Tutankaramoon - sovereign ruler of this land. You and your like have already robbed me of my rightful place in the afterlife, I'll not have you try and steal this from me also!!!"

"A slip of the tounge, my master. Nothing more. However, you have more pressing matters. The Elves march against us. What are your orders, sire!"

"Destroy them all! Raan, ready my chariot! We go to battle!"
