Van Oord contract from Bulgarian Ministry of Transport
Van Oord has been awarded a contract to deepen the access channel to the port extension of Burgas, Bulgaria. Client is the Bulgarian Ministry of Transport. Van Oord is subcontractor of Cosmos Shipping AD. The total value of the contract amounts to EUR 1.7 million. The execution of the contract starts mid September and is scheduled for completion mid October.
The project involves dredging part of the access channel to the port extension of Burgas to a depth of some twelve metres. The total quantity amounts to 500,000 cubic metres. Van Oord will deploy the trailing suction hopper dredger HAM 310.
