International engineering and contracting company VOSTA LMG has received a contract for an “Engineering and Components” package of a Cutter Suction Dredger type CSD500  from a first class partner in Malaysia. This contract includes the design of the dredger, critical dredge components such as dredge pump, cutterhead including ladder, operator cabin, on-site project management and training. The CSD500 will be built at the partner’s facilities near Kuala Lumpur and is scheduled to be finalized mid 2005.

The dismountable dredger will be equipped with a High performance and wear resistant VOSTA LMG HPD500 Dredge Pump and VOSTA LMG Cutter based on the proven TSC04 Cutterteeth System. The dredger will mainly be used for maintenance dredging in the Malaysian rivers, deltas and harbours.

VOSTA LMG will also take care of on site support during the construction phase and provide training for the dredger crew on the dredger once finalized, as part of the contract.
