Anthony Howard has worked for national newspapers, magazines, radio broadcasters and television channels in the UK and abroad - as a staff man or freelance contributor.

His rôles include reporter, feature writer, chief sub-editor, news editor and editor.

His range extends to live radio, as well as scripting and dubbing television commentary.

Publishers he has worked with include Argus South African Newspapers, Arrow Books, Associated Newspapers, HHL, Harmsworth Magazines, Haymarket, Hobsons, IPC Magazines, IPC Newspapers, Inside Communications, Miller Freeman, News International, Scott Publications, United Business Media and The Voice Group.

Among broadcasters he has worked with are BBC Television, BBC Radio 4, British Forces Broadcasting, B Sky B, LBC, Visnews and Yorkshire Television,

He has spent much of his 30-year career writing about - and helping others to explain – a wide variety of topics.

These include general news, business, legal, financial, government, product, technical, travel, transport, motoring and motor sport.

Howard has interviewed Cabinet ministers, captains of industry, engineers, show business people, media figures and a galaxy of motor sporting heroes - from Juan Manuel Fangio and Stirling Moss to Damon Hill and Colin McRae.

He has edited publications for the Daily Mail, Audi, Volkswagen, Dunlop and Pirelli.

His work has appeared in Australasia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, South Africa, the UK and the USA.

He has had two books published, and is working on a third. His tally also includes a number of journalism awards.

All this has led him to more than 60 countries - as far afield as Africa, North and South America, the Middle East, Russia, Japan and Europe.

Assignments have taken him down diamond and gold mines as deep as 3,000 metres, across the Sahara half a dozen times, and into chilling Arctic winters.
