Below is a list of events we did in 2000 - 2001 to give a flavour of the sort of thing we get up to

Wednesday 3rd May 2000 - Crystal Maze and Bowling at Maidenhead Superbowl.  For Photos of the evening click here.

Friday 5th / Saturday 6th May 2000 - National Conference at Blackpool

Saturday 6th May 2000 - The Rowlock Rally. A relay sponsored rowing race from Oxford to Henley along the Thames. (we must be mad). All proceeds in aid of Children's Wish Charity.  Note the new date

Wednesday 17th May 2000 - Table Meeting.  Details to follow

Saturday 4th June 2000 - Twyford Donkey Derby

Wednesday 7th June 2000 - Golf evening at  Bird's Hill golf centre at Hawthorn Hill (Please note change of venue).  Three options...

(A) 9 holes golf commencing 6:30ish followed by a meal.
(B) 18 holes golf commencing 4:30ish followed by a meal.
(C) A hack at the driving range commencing 7:30ish followed by a meal. (Perhaps a group golf lesson could be arranged for those wishing to take this option, who may be golf 'novices'.)

Saturday 10th June 2000 - Wokingham Carnival

Sunday 11th June 2000 - Ladies Circle Champagne Breakfast

Sunday 18th June 2000 - Reading Rowing Regatta

Wednesday 21st June 2000 (or possibly Thur. 22nd) (or maybe even Friday 23rd June) - Pub Bike Ride, start at Wagon and Horses, Twyford at 7pm. Dinner will be at the Elephant & Castle (Hurst) at 8.30pm.

Saturday 24th June 2000 - Reading Regatta, Part 2

Wednesday 5th July 2000 - Table Meeting, possibly Sailing. Details to follow.

Saturday 8th July 2000 - Summer Ball, Hennerton golf club.  See Jill Hendra for details.

Wednesday 19th July 2000 - Jet Ski at Reading.  Details to follow or contact Lyn Hendra.

Friday 28th - Sunday 30th July 2000. Dads and Kids Weekend

Wednesday 2nd August 2000 - Bicycle Treasure Hunt , The Lookout Bracknell, 7pm. 90 Minutes. Bring your own bike or hire with helmet for £7.50

Wednesday 16th August 2000 - The first Business Meeting of the year, Sonning Golf Club 7.30pm for 8pm.

Tuesday 5th September 2000 - Brewery Visit Marlow Brewery.  Details to be confirmed.  Twyford Round Table try and prove they can organise the proverbial!! NOW CANCELLED - WE COULDN'T ORGANISE IT!!!!

Wednesday 6th September 2000 - Petanque at The Pheasant Inn at 355 Reading Rd, Winnersh, Wokingham, Berks (0118) 978 4529. It's near Sainsbury's on the road from Winnersh to Wokingham. Contact Adam Bernstein for details.

Wednesday 20th September  2000 - Skittles at the Seven Stars, Knowl Hill, 7.45pm.

Friday 22nd - Sunday 24th September - National Sporting Weekend, Lancaster.  So far 12 tablers from Twyford are signed up.

Tuesday 3rd and Thursday 5th October - Scatter Night to visit other tables in the area.

Wednesday 18th October - Business Meeting at Sonning Golf Club, including final arrangements for the bonfire.

Saturday 28th October 2000 - Bonfire Carnival

Wednesday 1st November 2000 - Twyford and District Round Table 1002 30th Charter Dinner. Sonning Golf  Club, 7.30 for 8, Black Tie

Tuesday 14th November - Broomball at the John Nike Leisure Centre Ice Rink, Bracknell.  Like Ice Hockey, but with no skates and probably more injuries.  Wear Long Sleeves, Jeans and Trainers, for more detail contact Lyn

Wednesday 6th December - Float Meeting and Vice Chairman's evening at Sonning Golf Club.  Meeting to finalise the details for the Christmas Float for this year plus a mystery fun event organised by Rob Brighton.

Saturday 9th December - Christmas Party at Ros Burdens.  8pm, Food Provided.

Wednesday 20th December - Meal after the float collection, venue to be announced

Wednesday 3rd January 2001 - Meal at Sonning Golf Club

Wednesday 17th January 2001 - Burns Night at Sonning Golf Club

Wednesday 7th February 2001 - Snooker Evening at Colours in Reading.  Contact Lyn for more details.

Saturday 10th February 2001 - Progressive Supper - men to drive and cook. Contact Adrian McNeile for more details

Friday 17th February 2001 - Membership evening.  A race night at the Twyford Community Centre, next to Loddon Hall.  First race will be at 8pm and food will be provided.

Wednesday 21st February 2001 - Pub Style Quiz and mini business meeting at Sonning Golf Club.  

Wednesday 7th March 2001 - Laser Quest in Reading followed by a meal.  To be Confirmed.

Friday 16th March 2001 - Wokingham Round Table Smoker Evening, Reading Rugby Club Sonning.  Doors open at 7.30pm, Entertainment starts at 8pm.  Pre Booking essential, no admission on the night.  Contact Geoff Morgan of Wokingham Round Table geoff@geoffmorgan.com for more details

Wednesday 21st March 2001 - 10 Pin Bowling in Maidenhead (possibly) - Watch this space. Also Chucking out night for our two golden oldies Stuart and Dave.
