Turunc, Turkey

We took a taxi boat to Turunc which is the next bay along the coast from Icmeler. From the boat we saw a pair of Booted Eagles soaring over the hills between the two bays. When we arrived at Turunc we took a tractor-train up to the Loryma Resort which is perched high on the hillside overlooking the village. There was an animal enclosure at the resort with various farm animals and nearby we saw Goldfinches, White Wagtail, Hooded Crow and heard a Great Tit. The resort was overlooked by high cliffs and I saw two falcons taking off and flying around the cliff. I was able to watch them for a while, long enough for me to satisfy myself that they were definitely Eleanora's Falcons. We saw a single Jay while walking down the long winding road back to the village and harbour and a few Terrapins in the canal in the village.
