Counter-Coup is an explosive adventure thriller, written on the grand scale and in the great popular tradition.
Philip Morgan, formerly of the Metropolitan Police, returns by special invitation to  the former British colony of his childhood, which is now the newly independent state of Balembi in the heart of Africa.  President Kasaboru kas asked Philip to take up the post of Security Advisor, but, within days, Kasaboru’s government is overthrown in a coup led by the rebel, Joro Nyanga.
Kasaboru and Philip set off across country to reach the only town which is still held by the President’s forces.  There they attempt to organise a counter-coup, to restore the legitimate government and to bring peace to Balembi.
