Hook in Bath, by Michael Allen, is a comedy for the stage in two acts. It is a prequel to J.M. Barrie’s world-famous Peter Pan.
The copyright in Peter Pan is held by the Great Ormond Street Hospital. Under the terms of an agreement between Michael Allen and the Hospital, this play makes use of the characters Hook, Smee, Mr Darling, and the lady who will ultimately become Mrs Darling.
Hook in Bath is a wholly new play which tells the story of how and why, in 1776, James Hook was persuaded by Smee to go to sea as the captain of a pirate ship.
