Michael Allen

Passionate Affairs is, as the title suggests, a story about people who fall helplessly in love. The novel version of Passionate Affairs was written by Michael Allen under the pen-name Anne Moore.  To demonstrate the dramatic possibilities of the material, the author has prepared a 24-page film treatment; this includes the first 11 pages of the script. This project could be developed either as a low-budget feature film or as a one-off TV drama.  If you would like to read the treatment, please use the Contact link.
Synopsis of the screen version
In 1960, Daphne Bannister is a respectable married woman; her husband is a housemaster in a leading public school. Daphne understands well enough that having an affair with Pete Petersen, one of the boys in her husband’s care, is likely to lead to social and professional disaster; but she is still not deterred.
Robert Duval, another boy in the school, becomes equally besotted with a young French girl, Suzanne.
Passionate Affairs is a stunning account of two pairs of lovers who willingly risk scandal and disgrace.
