Michael Allen

Michael Allen’s novel Scrooge and the Widow of Pewsey (written under the pen-name Anne Moore) is a sequel to Charles Dickens’s much-loved classic A Christmas Carol.
Dickens’s original story (featuring the famous Mr Scrooge) has been adapted for the screen at least seventeen times.  The series began with two silent films in 1908 and 1916, and included versions featuring Donald Duck and the Muppets. (There was also a porno version called The Passions of Carol.)
Given that Dickens’s original Christmas Carol has proved so effective in the cinema, and has created worldwide awareness of the character of Mr Scrooge, there is no reason in principle why Scrooge and the Widow of Pewsey should not also be successfully adapted for the screen.  Film, television and allied rights are controlled by the author, and enquiries are invited.
